When viewing my portraits, people often ask me: "So, how does it work then? Do you just illustrate from a single photograph?"
The short answer is: "Yes, I can!"
But, in fact, most people don't have that single photo depicting all of their family (in the way they want them). So, I often illustrate portraits using separate photos. This way, I can work with you to create a creative composition that is truly unique to you and your loved ones.
It's handy if you email me a brief description of each person you'd like depicted too. This helps me illustrate their true character and gain a real likeness. An example of this would be:
Mike:Loves astronomy, reading and whisky. Tends to dress smart/casual and always gives his wife her annual Christmas gift in a watch box to conceal it.
As you can see, Mike (pictured below on the far left) is surrounded by all of his favourite things from the description above, but I can add as much or as little detail as you'd like. Take a look at the below diagram to see just a few other tiny details surrounding other people. View more portraits
If you'd like to order your own bespoke portrait, they come in one of four sizes (A3, A2, A1 and A0). If you have a another size in mind, I will happily prepare a tailored quote for you.
